While this week’s internet news has been largely dominated by the new social network, Facebook, Snapchat has been quietly becoming a major force in the already-crowded social media world. Launched in August 2011, the ephemeral photo-messaging app is already the third-most-popular social network, behind Facebook and Twitter.
With over 200 million users, 1 billion messages sent daily, and 26 million daily active users, Snapchat is definitely one of the most popular social networks out there.
Thousands of college students have flocked to the app in recent years, but Snap Inc. bought it in a deal that was designed to bring it into the mainstream.In fabricating semiconductor devices, various types of contamination can occur. The contaminants, and the resultant pollution, can include any of the following: moisture, particles, acid, metals, organics, etc. The contaminants can be introduced to semiconductor devices, such as wafers, in the process of fabricating the devices. One typical contamination problem is the migration of contaminants to the surface of wafers as the wafers are being transferred. The contaminants can result in contamination of the wafer, which will produce defects and cause the wafer to fail.
For example, contamination can occur when a semiconductor wafer is placed into or removed from a storage container for transportation to another processing tool. Moisture or other contaminants can be absorbed into the storage container. The wafer can absorb the moisture from the storage container.
